Scripture before scrolling
Type the Verse puts Scripture in the doorway of the apps that take your time. Type today's verse from memory and the app unlocks. Get it wrong and the verse stays.

How it works
Pick the apps that take your time. Type the Verse shields them with Apple's own Screen Time technology.
Open a locked app and a verse appears instead, with a few words hidden. The verse is the doorway.
Type the whole verse, including the missing words, and the app opens. Every pass hides one more word.
Why typing
Producing a word yourself instead of reading it off a page is one of the most replicated findings in memory research — psychologists named it the generation effect in 1978. Pulling something out of memory strengthens it far more than looking at it again.
The blanks widen on purpose. Day one you are copying. By the end of the week you are reciting. You did not sit down to memorize anything — you just wanted to check your phone.

Questions
No. The shield uses Apple's Family Controls framework, which never tells us — or anyone — what you do inside your apps. There is no account, no analytics, and nothing leaves your phone.
Every day includes one emergency unlock that opens your apps for five minutes without a verse. It is an escape hatch, not a bypass — one a day keeps it honest.
The Berean Standard Bible by default, with the World English Bible and King James Version available in Settings.
About an hour of typing, spread across the moments you reach for your phone. Most people finish their first verse in under a week, because most people reach for their phone more than they think.
Anytime, in one tap, from your Apple subscription settings. We also send a reminder before the trial ends so nothing charges you by surprise.
